Cover version of Jean-Luc Ponty's legendary track "In the Fast Lane", commisioned as part of an official 12" reissue of the original track.

Originally released in 1989, "In the Fast Lane" is a rich and vibrant composition. The track is a firm favourite of an endless list of underground heavyweights including Theo Parrish, Floating Points, Gilles Peterson, Laurent Garnier, Patrick Forge and many others.

The digital release features a brilliant cover version from Swedish producer Opolopo. He faithfully recreates the original synth lines around a deep and jazzy house groove, producing a modern dancefloor masterpiece for lovers of jazzy house and techno, which impressed the likes of Laurent Garnier, Gilles Peterson, Mr Scruff and Ponty himself! The dub version takes out the synth solo for a deeper take.
